How to create a conditional logic rule for form fields?

Tue, 06 Dec, 2022

The conditional logic rule can be created in the checkbox and radio button form fields now. It helps to control the visibility of other form fields based on the checkbox or radio button state.

Create a conditional logic rule for the checkbox form field

  • Click Create New and select the Create New Document option.
  • Fill in all the required fields on the prepare document page and click Next to move to the Configure fields page.
  • Drag and drop the Checkbox field to the desired location.
  • Also, add two more form fields near the checkbox to connect with it.
  • When you click the Checkbox form field, Checkbox settings will open on the right side of the page. Click the Create Logic button in the Conditional Logic field.
  • Select the Checked option from the dropdown list at the top of the page and click on the form field. The Checkbox value and the selected form field will be linked.
  • Similarly, select the Unchecked option from the dropdown list and click on another form field. The Unchecked option and the selected form field will be linked.
  • When the signer checks the checkbox, the form field(s) linked to that value will be displayed. When the check box is unchecked, the form field(s) linked to that value will be displayed.
  • You can also check the form field(s) visibility using the preview option.

Create a conditional logic rule for the radio button form field

  • Drag and drop the Radio button field from the form fields section.
  • Add another form field near the radio button to connect with it.
  • When you click the Radio button form field, Radio button settings will open on the right side of the page. Click Create Logic in the Conditional Logic field.
  • Select a value from the dropdown list at the top of the page and click on the form field. The selected radio button value and the form field will be linked. Similarly, link all the radio buttons to the form fields and click the Apply button.
