Change access code

Thu, 8 Apr, 2021

The access code for the already authenticated document can be changed with the help of API using below given code snippet:

C#CURL

// This is an example document id, add your own document id upon usage.
var documentId = "949ebf20-45a8-4a3e-91a9-68e9540e0020";
this.DocumentClient.ChangeAccessCode(documentId, "signer1@email.com", "newAccessCodeHere");
curl -X PATCH 'https://api.boldsign.com/v1/document/changeAccessCode?documentId=949ebf20-45a8-4a3e-91a9-68e9540e0020&emailId=signer1@email.com&zOrder=2' \
-H 'accept: */*' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer <authtoken>' \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"accessCode":"newAccessCodeHere"}'

Some documents will contain repeated signer with signing order, in that case the signing order of the signer can be specified along with the signer email to change the access code as shown in the code snippet below:

C#CURL

// This is an example document id, add your own document id upon usage.
var documentId = "949ebf20-45a8-4a3e-91a9-68e9540e0020";

// targeting 2nd order signer of the document
this.DocumentClient.ChangeAccessCode(documentId, "signer1@email.com", "newAccessCodeHere", 2);
curl -X PATCH 'https://api.boldsign.com/v1/document/changeAccessCode?documentId=949ebf20-45a8-4a3e-91a9-68e9540e0020&emailId=signer1@email.com&zOrder=2' \
-H 'accept: */*' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer <authtoken>' \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"accessCode":"newAccessCodeHere"}'
